THE REAL FIGHT OF TECH GIANTS – GOOGLE BARD VS MICROSOFT ChatGPT

Do you want to see the real fight between the tech giants Microsoft and Google in the name of AI content generators? Yes, Google has developed its own generative AI chatbot named Bard to compete with Microsoft OpenAI’s extremely popular service ChatGPT.

Guys, this blog is a follow-up to the previous ChatGPT blog. Here in this blog, we are focusing on the differences between Google’s Bard and OpenAI’s ChatGPT. OpenAI’s GPT (Generative Pre-trained Transformer), which was first released in 2020, is a text-generating chatbot. ChatGPT is a GPT 3.5 series of language models, which finished training in early 2022. The generative app was released by Microsoft partner openAI in November. In February, Google announced its own ChatGPT-like service named Bard. In any case, Google’s Bard and ChatGPT would provide similar but slightly different services. Anyway, let’s have a look at the tech fight…

What is Bard?

Bard, the perfect AI content generator by Google. Google’s Language Model for Dialogue Application serves as the foundation for the new chatbot. Bard is a conversational AI service powered by LaMDA (Language Model for Dialogue Applications). Bard aims to provide the breadth of the world’s knowledge with the power, intelligence, and creativity of our large language models.

Bard uses LaMDA for dialogue applications; it was built on an open-source network to understand natural language. It uses web information to provide fresh, high-quality responses. So, Bard can develop more chunks of information in real time by accessing the data. Its function is exactly similar to that of ChatGPT, in that users will be able to interact with the chatbot through conversation.

Bard Versus ChatGPT?

Microsoft announced a multibillion-dollar partnership with ChatGPT maker OpenAI and unveiled new products on November, 2022. In February 2023, Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google, announced that his company will open a conversational AI service called Bard. Google’s Bard will function similarly to ChatGPT. In that users can enter their question and receive a quick human-like response. However, because of Google’s tremendous data collection, Bard can provide more in-depth and diverse information than ChatGPT.

Does Bard Outsmart ChatGPT?

Actually, we can’t mention which one of them is better by comparing them. Both ChatGPT and BARD are language based conversational AI models. However, a few key factors give BARD AI an edge over ChatGPT. Let’s see…

  • Bard gives the latest information because it continually draws information from the internet. But ChatGPT is a limit to newer research and information because its knowledge source ends with 2021 data.
  • The BARD chatbot is powered by LaMDA, which has been trained to understand natural language, whereas ChatGPT is powered by GPT 3.5.
  • ChatGPT provides information via text prompts, whereas the BARD chatbot provides answers in a more understandable format.

When Can We Access Bard?

Because the BARD AI chatbot is still in testing, it is unclear when it will be available to everyone. Only Beta testers currently have access to the BARD AI link for testing purposes.

The Role of ChatGPT and Bard in AI Evolution

Of course, the arrival of Bard and ChatGPT will have an impact on the evolution of AI. AI-powered chatbots have assisted businesses in interacting with customers and providing a better customer experience. Unlike ChatGPT, which is already available to users and has reached 100 million users in two months, the BARD chatbot is now available to trusted testers and will soon be available to the general public in the coming weeks.

Data Labeling Services for AI Content Generators

When developing an AI model, developers begin with a massive amount of unlabeled data. Labeling data is an essential step in data preparation and preprocessing. Anyway, these AI content generators construct natural language processing frameworks for delivering human-like texts. In the case of these AI chatbots, the best-trained and highest-quality labeled datasets were required. As a result, the best data labeling services enable the development of high-quality AI content generators. Highly skilled data labelers prepare the training data for these AI chatbots.

Final Note:

Microsoft and Google both intend to incorporate AI tools to improve their search services. The ability of Bard to incorporate recent events into responses is the most noticeable difference between the two. ChatGPT has access to data from various sources that is current as of 2021, whereas Bard will use the internet for information.

Like Google, so many companies are attempting to compete with ChatGPT. China’s Alibaba Group announced on Wednesday that it was developing a ChatGPT-style artificial intelligence tool that was currently in internal testing. Anyway, we can’t avoid the possibilities of AI content generators in future.

Let’s wait for the arrival of Bard!!!

We can’t predict the future, Just wait and see!!!
